Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that the land on which we reside are the ancestral lands of Indigenous people. We recognize the ancestral territory of the St. Croix Chippewa Indians (Manoominikeshiinyag), an Ojibwe people who have stewarded this region along the St. Croix River. We also recognize the historical presence of the Dakota people in the broader area. We honor the resilience and enduring sovereignty of the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin and the other Ojibwe bands in the region. We commit to learning from their history and stories from the land.
